— Mildred Crowl, 78, of Salem, was traveling north on State Route 9 in Hanover Township when her vehicle went off the right side of the roadway striking an embankment before coming to a final rest Tuesday evening.
— Terry E Naylor, 22, of Salineville, was traveling south on State Route 164 in Wayne Township at 1:30 p.m. March 6 when he crossed the left side of the road striking a utility pole and tree before overturning his vehicle. Naylor said he fell asleep at the time of the crash and was transported to St. Elizabeth.
— Jacob Lanoux, 29, of Albany, and Dale Allen Fox, 43, of Kensington, were traveling westbound on US Route 30 when Fox failed to maintain a clear distance and struck Lanoux’s vehicle in the rear at 2:41 p.m. March 1. Both parties had conflicting stories and vehicles sustained functional damage. Fox was issued a citation for assured clear distance.
— Denise Zepernick, 60, of Beloit, was traveling east on State Route 344 in Salem Township while Michael Marx Coe, 31, of Lisbon, was stopped at the stop sign south on Lisbon Road at State Route 344 at 5:00 p.m. on March 6. Coe failed to yield and was struck by Zepernick. Zepernick’s vehicle overturned and ran off the right side of the roadway. Both drivers admitted to not wearing seat belts and Leetonia Fire and EMS responded to the crash. Coe was cited with failure to yield from a stop sign.
— Both Nicole M. Meeks, 46, of Hazel Crest, Illinois, and Michael L. Smith, 50, of Youngstown, were on the southbound deceleration ramp to State Route 154 in Elkrun Township March 11. While stopped at the stop sign Smith was struck in the rear by Meeks. Vehicles sustained moderate damage from the collision.
— Michael Christopher May, 17, of Minerva, was traveling westbound on State Route 172 in West Township at 5:10 a.m. March 6. May went off the left side of the roadway striking a fence and a culvert. Deputies cited May for failure to control and assessed damage to multiple fence posts, boards and cracked the concrete culvert.
— Sarah Olivia Heestand, 18, of Salem was traveling east on Salem Grange Road in Salem at 2:13 p.m. March 1 when an unknown driver traveling westbound on Salem Grange Road drove left of center into Heestand’s path. Heestand swerved to avoid being struck and drove off the right side of the road striking the guardrail.
— Anthony Jean, 35, of Stuart, Florida, was driving east on Georgetown Road in Knox Township Feb. 27 striking an overhead bridge.
— Jordan M. Wilson, 33, of New Waterford, was northbound on Creek Road and failed to negotiate a turn at the T intersection of Bull Creek Road in Unity Township March 3. Wilson crossed over the roadway and went off the left side striking a ditch.
— Joshua David Pence, 33, of Wellsville, was northbound on State Route 45 in Madison Township Feb. 27 when he struck a deer in the roadway.
— Robert Clifford Lane, 53, of Lisbon, was traveling eastbound on State Route 172 in West Township at 5 p.m. March 3 when Lane went off the right side of the roadway striking an embankment and overturning. Lane was cited for failure to control.
— Jeffrey Lee Hum, 65, of Poland, was traveling southbound on State Route 11 in Madison Township at 6:52 a.m. March 4 when he drove off the left side of the roadway and into the center median. Hum crossed the northbound lanes and drove off the left side of the roadway striking a ditch.
— At 6:54 p.m. March 2 Donald J. Orengia, 32, of Salem, was driving east on State Route 14 in Fairfield Township March 2. Jose Martinez, 34, of Salem was driving westbound on State Route 14. A vehicle began to slow down in front of Martinez. As Martinez swerved left to avoid hitting the vehicle Orengia and Martinez struck head on. Martinez then drove off the south side of the roadway.
— Joel C. Needham, 71, of Hanoverton, was eastbound on US State Route 30 at 4:42 a.m. March 3 and struck a horse that entered the travel lane. The horse was found injured in a nearby barn.
